Job Title: Part‑Time Instructor, Private Music Lessons (NWSA) Organization: Inside Higher Ed Location: New World School of the Arts Job ID: 1004936 Department: Music Reports To: Dean of Music, NWSA Full/Part Time: Part‑Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Grade: P1 Salary: $54.37 per hour (Base Rate) Closing Date: Ongoing Position Overview The Part‑Time Instructor will teach private music lessons. What You Will Be Doing Teach studio classes and arrange master classes Participate in student juries and recitals Evaluate and advise students Maintain accurate records and grades Participate in auditions Perform other duties as assigned What You Need to Succeed Master’s degree in discipline or a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution plus 18 graduate credit hours in discipline All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Teaching experience at a college or community college level preferred Experience in successfully teaching advanced music students Ability to demonstrate an advanced level of performance and proficiency on an instrument Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff members Excellent organizational skills Preferences Upload unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume; redact personal information such as date of birth and social security number.
