Job Title: Senior Web Developer – SharePoint / .NET
Primary Location: Washington, DC
Clearance: Top-Secret (TS) Clearance (Must have to be considered)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared Senior Web Developer to support SharePoint and custom web application development for a federal agency in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development with .NET technologies, SharePoint architecture, and modern front-end tools. This role requires a developer who is equally comfortable coding, problem-solving, and delivering scalable, reliable web solutions in a secure, mission‑critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions including SharePoint web parts, features, apps, timer jobs, and InfoPath forms.
- Custom applications for SharePoint 2013 / 2019 and Office 365 / SharePoint Online.
- Write and maintain server‑side code using VB.NET, C#, and ASP.NET.
- Build responsive, secure client‑side applications using HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, PHP.
- Integrate applications with external systems by leveraging web services and APIs.
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and availability of systems at both component and enterprise levels.
- Collaborate within Agile / Scrum development teams, contributing to planning, reviews, and sprint deliverables.
- Utilize in‑depth knowledge of SharePoint environments to solve complex technical and business problems.
- Participate in internal innovation projects, prototypes, and initiatives aligned with IOP goals.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and knowledge transfer to reduce support incidents and improve system resilience.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
- 6–8 years of professional IT development experience.
- 5+ years of experience with .NET technologies including VB.NET, C#, and ASP.NET.
- 5 years of hands‑on experience developing for SharePoint 2013 using the SharePoint object model.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in developing web‑based applications and integrating with third‑party services.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with the FBI or other federal government agencies.
- Experience in:
- Creating and consuming web services.
- InfoPath and Forms Services.
- SQL Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- .NET Framework 4.0+.
- Windows Workflow Foundation.
- Possession of Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSD, MCTS, MCP).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
