About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and visionary  Resortwear Designer  to join our Southern California design team. This role is ideal for a designer who embodies effortless style and understands the intersection of luxury, comfort, and travel. You’ll design collections that capture the spirit of coastal living—balancing elevated silhouettes, natural textures, and a relaxed sophistication that transitions seamlessly from beach to city.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop seasonal resortwear collections, including dresses, swim cover‑ups, separates, and soft tailoring that reflect the brand’s aesthetic and lifestyle.
Research trends, color stories, fabrics, and prints relevant to resort and travel‑ready markets.
Create detailed sketches, CADs, and tech packs for sampling and production.
Collaborate closely with Product Development, Production, and Merchandising to ensure alignment across design, cost, and delivery timelines.
Source sustainable and high‑quality materials suited to warm‑weather wear and resort environments.
Work with patternmakers and sample rooms to refine fit, drape, and construction details.
Present seasonal concepts, mood boards, and collection lineups to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and evolving resortwear trends to keep the brand fresh and aspirational.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
5+ years of experience designing women’s contemporary or resortwear apparel.
Strong knowledge of fabrication, construction, and print development specific to lightweight and breathable materials.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
Excellent eye for color, proportion, and trend forecasting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with a detail‑oriented, proactive mindset.
Deep appreciation for coastal, travel, and wellness‑inspired aesthetics.
