As an Editor, you will ensure the customer experience lives through our product, its presentation, packaging, and care. You will collaborate with the store team to create exceptional experiences for customers as they discover and connect with our brand in-store, during online orders pickup, or during returns or exchanges. Editors are part of a team of storytellers driving the future of beauty through curiosity and the Glossier community.
As part of the store team, you will be trained in all aspects of store operations, including customer-facing and back-of-house responsibilities. You will work to understand the full customer journey and support inquiries with leadership guidance as needed.
Responsibilities Customer Experience
Model and coach Glossier’s customer experience principles to create consistently memorable and inspiring experiences.

Become an expert on the product portfolio, including basics, benefits, application, formula, and care.
Fulfill customer orders accurately and with branded, thoughtful service.
Develop relationships with repeat customers, engaging them pre- and post-visit (promotions, follow-up on purchases).
Meet customer service expectations as a role model and mentor to new team members.
Monitor customer feedback and share insights with leadership as needed.
Act as a brand ambassador with knowledge of all Glossier brand experiences.

Be a safety champion, report hazards, and support a safe work environment.
Communicate inventory feedback and customer experience insights with store leadership.
Demonstrate products and assist with training and product launches in partnership with leadership.
Collaborate across the store team to support special projects and assignments.
Operational Excellence
Follow safety standards and health guidelines applicable to the store.
Restock and replenish inventory using store systems and processes.
Maintain inventory accuracy and efficiently fulfill customer orders.
Receive, inspect, and report discrepancies on shipments.
Participate in visual projects such as displays, floor moves, and brand events.
Uphold uniform standards and store presentation guidelines.
Understand front and back-of-house store operations to support new hires.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate multitasking without compromising service.
Qualifications 2+ years in a fast-paced customer service operation (retail or hospitality) preferred.
Prior advisory or sales experience in beauty/skincare preferred.
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Passion for creating memorable experiences through personal interactions.
Commitment to inclusion and belonging; empathetic and action-oriented.
Operationally minded with understanding of retail logistics for a seamless customer experience.
Willingness to roll up sleeves and collaborate in a team setting.
Strong teamwork orientation and adaptability; multitasking ability.
Experience with POS or inventory systems is a plus.
