Location: San Luis Obispo, CA. Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Starting pay: $22–30 per hour. Requires physically reporting to the San Luis Obispo, CA facility.

Purpose of the Position

Assist the Sports Warehouse Photo & Video Department in producing clean, consistent imagery for multiple web‑based catalogs. Responsibilities include photographing and editing product images for publication across company websites.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Photograph a variety of products in studio and on location.
• Able to work with and direct models on set to get the right shots.
• Create marketing initiatives, concept ideas, and develop shot lists.
• Color correct, mask, shape, and layout imagery according to company standards.
• Be a fast learner, self‑guided, and organized.
• Assist other photographers in studio and on location when necessary.
• Maintain a professional standard for all product photography.
• Communicate with others in a positive manner, behave professionally, and stay motivated.

Required Skills

• Able to work with Mac OS X 10.14 or later.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop CC.
• Proficient in Capture One (a plus).
• Familiar with Canon camera equipment (a plus).
• Experience shooting lifestyle type photography.
• Experience shooting sports photography (a plus).
• Able to set up and work with a studio lighting environment.
• Able to focus, maintain attention to detail, and balance multiple duties in a dynamic environment.
• Able to problem‑solve creatively.
• Able to function as part of a team, having a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to adhere to a consistent schedule.
• Ability to perform tasks professionally and productively.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. It routinely uses computers, photography equipment, and may require use of a clothing steamer.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to communicate with others to exchange information, frequently sit or stand in a stationary position, occasionally move about inside the building or on location shoots, and may need to stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, or climb. Regularly lift/move objects under ten pounds, occasionally 11–20 lb, rarely 21–50 lb.
