The Department of Writing and Rhetoric invites applicants for the positions of Lecturer and Special Lecturer to instruct courses in First-Year Writing. This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the Department may draw as sections become open at any point in the 2025-2026 academic year. This posting may or may not result in the hiring of an applicant. Pre-employment screening includes verification of academic credentials and background check. Minimum Qualifications Requirements are an MA degree in Rhetoric and Composition or related field (Ph.D. preferred), knowledge of composition pedagogy and teaching new media, and minimum of one year of teaching experience in a computer classroom or partially online setting. Experience with course management software such as Moodle or Blackboard is required.
