We are looking for a hard-working Structural Designer who is passionate about high quality deliverables and works well in a fast-paced environment. This Structural Designer will work with the structural engineering team to generate construction documents utilizing Revit for industrial and self-storage design-build projects. This person will assist in leading the effort for the generation of erection and fabrication drawings for cold-formed metal framing Self-Storage projects and tilt-up panel books for industrial projects.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Produce 3D models consistent with instruction, industry guidelines, and ARCO standards
Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings
Work collaboratively with other team members and other design disciplines to create 3D models and 2D drawings
Assist the structural engineering project lead
Create new Revit families, symbols, detail components, line styles, parameters, etc. as needed to improve efficiency of drawing production
Create 3D views or renderings as needed
Monitor work progress, anticipate changes or issues, and inform appropriate team members
Visit job sites for site observation purposes and drawing coordination
Necessary Qualifications
2+ years of relevant building design experience utilizing Revit, OR a Degree in related discipline (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, and/or CAD, etc.) plus 1 year of relevant experience
Revit experience is required; preferably a working understanding of the creation and use of families, symbols, detail components, line styles, parameters, view templates, and filters
Experience with concrete, structural steel, and cold-formed metal framing is preferred.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion to set priorities and manage competing demands of multiple simultaneous projects and project managers
Detail-oriented mindset with an understanding of the importance of clear, concise, and consistent model creation and drawing documentation
Active and responsive communication skills (both written and verbal)
Reliability in delivery of excellent construction documents using verbal or high-level written descriptions, without detailed instruction or “redlines"
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
Experience in Dynamo is a plus
