The Opportunity DaVita seeks an experienced and highly motivated Social Media Content Strategist Manager to be the driving force behind our social media presence. This role leads content storytelling and strategy, translating complex healthcare information into compelling, audience‑specific narratives. You will own the full social media lifecycle, from strategic planning to execution, overseeing both organic and paid initiatives.

What you'll do

Strategic Vision & Execution:

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with DaVita's brand voice, marketing objectives, and business goals across multiple audiences.

Conduct thorough audits and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities within the kidney care space.

Identify and leverage social media trends, viral content opportunities, and new channels to maximize engagement and reach.

Content Storytelling & Translation:

Develop compelling storytelling moments across key content pillars to influence perception through narrative shaping.

Lead the creation and curation of high‑quality, engaging social media content (text, images, videos) by translating long‑form healthcare editorial content into concise, social‑ready formats.

Ensure brand consistency and healthcare regulatory compliance across all platforms.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (content marketing, design, video production, corporate communications) for seamless integration.

Participate in weekly editorial committee meetings to update on initiatives and source content.

Develop and manage a robust content calendar, scheduling postings based on best practices and analytics.

Leverage emerging technologies such as AI tools to enhance content creation and ideation.

Team Leadership & Community Management:

Manage and mentor a junior social media direct report(s). Provide guidance and foster development.

Lead community interactions, respond to questions, and maintain an approved, compliant response library.

Develop and manage a brand ambassador program engaging key influencers in the kidney care community.

Reporting & Optimization:

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), producing comprehensive monthly reports for paid and organic efforts.

Analyze engagement metrics, audience insights, and campaign performance for continuous improvement.

Utilize social listening tools to monitor brand mentions and sentiment.

What you'll bring

2‑3 years of proven experience in social media management and content strategy.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex healthcare content into engaging social media narratives.

Strong experience managing and mentoring junior social media team members.

Deep understanding of social media best practices, algorithms, and emerging trends across platforms.

Experience with social media management and listening tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Talkwalker).

Experience working with design teams and creating graphics on‑demand using tools such as Canva.

Proficiency in incorporating AI into workflows to enhance productivity and output.

Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and oversee multiple projects.

Healthcare experience preferred; strong understanding of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).
