User Experience Analyst (User Experience Analyst II - Information Technology Services - Digital Transformation) at California State University, San Bernardino. Location: Southern California | San Bernardino Campus. Job type: Temporary, full-time on-site. Responsibilities Develop user interfaces and themes for web applications, campus map, campus portal, mobile app, and other campus web systems. Build front-end assets (HTML/CSS/JS) and versioning via Git. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows. Provide design consultation based on CSUSB standards. Utilize user feedback and collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are effective, user-centered, and aligned with requirements. Create and extend Drupal themes and integrate third-party systems as needed. Present designs and milestones to peers and executive stakeholders. Conceptualize ideas that simplify complex design requirements. Create mock-ups based on client specifications. Promote design guidelines and standards across platforms. Ensure adherence to university branding guidelines. Collaborate with Marketing & Communications as needed. Adhere to Web Accessibility guidelines within the CMS and other web environments. Perform other duties as assigned. Stay current with emerging technology and industry trends to improve user experience.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Equivalent to a bachelors degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Additional experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Required Qualifications

Working knowledge to design scenarios, sketches, storyboards, user personas, flows, wireframes, motion studies, and prototypes. Working knowledge of user experience research and design principles. Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to conduct focus groups and related assessment research. Strong analytical skills to evaluate user and business needs and design, develop, and implement solutions. Ability to lead, direct, and train others. Proficiency with applicable software and design platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient understanding of Drupal & Twig theming. Understanding of version control tools such as Git. Experience in higher education. Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 guidelines. Proficient in image editing tools (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop). Proficient understanding of web markup (HTML5, CSS3) and server-side CSS preprocessing (LESS, SASS). Understanding of JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g., jQuery, Node.js, React). Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, UX Development, Design, or related field; at least 2 years front-end development experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated hiring step: Step 1, $6,492.00 per month. Salary range: Step 1 $6,492.00 per month Step 20 $9,458.00 per month. The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, CalPERS retirement, sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays per year. Work status: Full-time/Exempt/Temporary (up to one year with potential renewal). Academic year schedule: MondayFriday (8:00 am 5:00 pm), some evenings/weekends.
