is a medical device company founded in 2009 that has developed a non‑invasive sonic beam therapy platform using histotripsy to destroy targeted liver tumors. The company’s mission is to advance the science of histotripsy and provide transformational change for physicians and patients.
Location Plymouth, MN (Hybrid)
Travel Expectation Occasional visits to other Midwest sites as business needs dictate.
Position Summary The UI/UX Software Design Engineer gathers user requirements, designs and implements software user interface, navigation and reporting components. The role works closely with the software development team, Clinical Education, and Technical Communication specialists to fine‑tune UX and UI.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and evaluate user requirements with product managers and engineers.
Plan and design the information architecture.
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards and process flows.
Develop UI mockups and prototypes.
Design graphic user interface elements, navigation mechanisms and reports.
Participate in usability testing.
Implement UI elements, navigation mechanisms and reports.
Collaborate with users, clinical educators, and technical communication specialists to adjust UI and UX.
Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
Participate in continuous improvement of the Quality System and software development procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 2+ years experience in software development for hardware or medical device applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related field, or Associate’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core (C#, WPF, XAML).
Best‑practice experience for usability and accessibility.
Knowledge of architectural patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM).
Experience with multiple operating systems, especially Microsoft Windows.
Source‑code control systems experience.
Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO standards.
Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
Detail oriented, analytical, and team‑oriented.
Self‑managed, quick learner, maintains interdisciplinary relationships.
Occasional travel to Midwest sites as needed.
