As a Mechanical Engineer at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting‑edge mechanical solutions for our Industrial Automation business. Your work will involve creating and refining conveyor MHE system designs that drive the success of this segment. You will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, work from our Mason, OH location on a hybrid schedule, and be required to be onsite Monday‑Friday for the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

Lead and drive the mechanical design process from concept to project turnover.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.

Design and develop complex conveyor MHE systems.

Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, mathematics, or science.

At least 1 year of experience in mechanical design and development.

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and other mechanical analysis/simulation tools.

Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Attributes

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects for conveyor MHE.

Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Experience with product testing and validation.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or holder of protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
