Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Develop solid professional relationships with key referral partners to understand their needs and provide feedback to management on how well current services meet referral source needs.

Effectively market all NBH programs in a clear and accurate manner to the community to increase community knowledge of the services provided by NBH - identified 5 Audiences.

Create and implement an overall targeted regional outreach strategy to support outreach philosophy of relationship management and new business prospecting.

Initiate schedule, and track face‑to‑face appointments with key referent and key members of leadership, and our clinical staff and provide documentation.

Work collaboratively with members of the leadership team to promote all NBH programs. This includes planning and / or managing the coordination of large events as well as attending various community meetings as directed / appropriate.

Present new Business Development opportunities to leadership.

Work with the operations team to ensure all data is accurately collected and reported.

30‑day history / 90‑day forecast.

Coordinate and host referral source visitors to NBH facilities.

Represent the organization in a professional manner at civic and professional functions.

Supervision of assessment team providing Comprehensive Assessments and insuring following through with referring party.

Supervision of intake and outreach team, including best practices, data collection, and management of residential and outpatient census.

Oversee and manage the intake and outreach team.

Requirements Required Skills and Experience: (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses / certifications, or other knowledge skills and abilities)

Undergraduate (four‑year) degree preferred in business, marketing, communications, psychology, or Social Work, and/or 2+ years of work experience in the behavioral health / social services environment / healthcare / pharmaceutical industries.

Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities and projects.

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate one‑on‑one and in group settings.

Excellent customer service skills.

Takes initiative in problem‑solving and programming improvements.

Knowledge of industry players and / or Addiction / mental health treatment & the territory.

Previous experience with event planning and coordination.

Proven ability to work without close supervision and take initiative‑self‑starter.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

A valid driver's license is required.

Maintaining an up‑to‑date knowledge of program philosophy and policies and procedures, 245G, 245A, 2451, MDH and all other associated requirements, house operations, including client rights and confidentiality.

Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)

Attending, exhibiting, and presenting at appropriate fairs, trade shows, and other opportunities as necessary, as determined by the Vice President of Business Development.

Flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends and ability to travel.

Hours are Monday‑Friday, (occasional weekend hours for events) at least 45 or more office and / or field hours per week. Involves up to 75% travel locally.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Must have two years of freedom from chemical use problems.

Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check.

CPR Certification or attain within 30 days.

Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and other computer skills.
