Position Overview ADB is a nationwide full‑turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, P&I and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Laborer II to provide outside plant (OSP) installation support on various sized and scope utility construction project sites.

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform general manual labor within all weather conditions, including hand digging, installing utilities, moving material, inspecting ground conditions, ensuring traffic control, and other tasks.

Support crew with jobsite setup and closeout tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, taking photos, setting up cones and traffic signs, and prepping equipment.

Operate heavy equipment (directional drill, mini excavator, hydro truck, bucket truck) independently with limited guidance.

Consistently meet production expectations set by experienced foreman and/or management.

Take initiative and engage in training alongside experienced operators and foremen, learning installations and equipment operations.

Read prints and construction drawings proficiently.

Under training and supervision, locate utilities and perform the 811 locate process, problem‑solve for existing utilities, and make decisions in accordance with ADB’s policies and procedures.

Maintain daily redline and production reports.

Adhere to safety culture and expectations, leading by example and participating in pre‑task safety assessments.

Provide training and support to entry‑level laborers, ensuring compliance with ADB’s operating and safety procedures.

Perform other position duties as requested.

Must work in a variety of physical positions such as sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing.

Required to wear personal protective equipment: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel‑toed boots.

Experience and Education

1+ year of utility construction experience.

6+ months operating equipment such as drill, hydro, mini, or bucket truck.

Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a company vehicle (strongly preferred).

Class A CDL license (strongly preferred).

Competent Person and OSHA 10 certifications (obtainable within 6 months of hire).

High School diploma or equivalent.

The starting pay for this position is $24.00 per hour and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
