Overview

The Creator & Fandom team is driving high-impact creator campaigns for Microsoft's commercial brands, with a special focus on product drops and launches. As a Senior Creator Strategist, you will leverage your deep expertise in creator marketing to ideate, strategize, and execute end-to-end campaigns for product releases. You'll work closely with PMM (Product Marketing Management) teams to synthesize GTM strategy into actionable engagement pathways for talent, blending social culture, platform fluency, and product truth to help Microsoft show up in more authentic, high-impact ways across social. Ideal candidates are senior strategists with a proven track record in creator and influencer marketing, product launches, and GTM strategy. You thrive in fast-paced environments, are confident collaborating with senior stakeholders, and have a strong bias for creativity, clarity, and experimentation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with PMM teams to develop and execute GTM strategy for product drops and launches, ensuring creator campaigns align with commercial priorities.

  • Synthesize GTM strategy and business needs into simple, actionable engagement pathways for creators and talent. Ideate and contract release plans in collaboration with agencies, managers, and collectives.

  • Manage creator execution of product drops and launches, overseeing campaign delivery from concept to completion. Build and nurture direct relationships with content creators and talent, acting as a strategic partner to amplify authentic brand storytelling.

  • Blend social culture, platform fluency, and product truth into campaign strategy and execution.

  • Monitor cultural trends, competitor activity, and platform innovations, translating insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance using data and analytics to optimize strategy and demonstrate return on investment.

  • Develop and execute paid media strategies within creator campaigns, including budgeting, targeting, and performance measurement.

  • Present campaign strategies, performance insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Drive internal alignment through storytelling, stakeholder education, and regular sharing of best practices.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in creator strategy, influencer marketing, or campaign management OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience developing and executing creator and influencer campaigns for product launches, ideally for Business to business or technology brands.

  • 3+ years of experience working with Procuct Marketing Manager teams on Go to Market strategy and translate business needs into actionable creator engagement plans. Strong command of social media platforms, creator culture, and audience engagement strategies, managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a matrix environment.

  • 3+ years of experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance using data and analytics tools. Hands-on experience developing and executing paid media strategies within creator campaigns.

  • 3+ years of experience building and managing direct relationships with creators, agencies, managers, and collectives.

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with creative, marketing, and product teams in a corporate or agency setting. Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation skills.

  • 5+ years of experience with strategic and creative thinking. Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead initiatives from concept to execution.

  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with creative, marketing, and product teams in a corporate or agency setting. Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
