Overview

Arlington Public Schools is looking for a 0.2 preschool music teacher.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally-appropriate and standards-based weekly music lessons, preferably using the Feierabend First Steps in Music early childhood method and supplemental resources/methods as appropriate.
• Develop “Tuneful, Beatful, and Artful” qualities in all students while maintaining a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment.
• Motivate and engage students with dynamic interpersonal skills and sustain enthusiastic engagement in music-making.
• Collaborate with families and engage in two-way partnership to support student success.

Qualifications

• Strong pedagogical, musical, and vocal skills.
• Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to developmental levels in a preschool setting.

Salary and Benefits are consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association. The Salary Schedule is on our website. Salary placement is based on Education and Experience.
