Owned by Atlanta‑based Gray Local Media and sister to ABC affiliate KAQY, the station operates from studios on Oliver Road in Monroe, with its transmitter in Columbia, Caldwell Parish. Since its first broadcast on September 27, 1953, KNOE‑TV has offered news, entertainment, weather, sports, and investigative reporting from CBS, ABC, and the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network.

Job Summary

KNOE 8 News is now accepting applications for an experienced Anchor/Producer to join our morning team. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic journalist who connects with the audience online, in the field, in the community, and behind the desk.

Responsibilities

  • Anchor assigned newscasts
  • Fill‑in produce assigned newscasts
  • Anchor and produce content for our streaming platforms
  • Develop sources and ideas daily that resonate with our audience and align with station strategy
  • Schedule, conduct, and shoot interviews and edit video
  • Anchor and respond to breaking news coverage on all platforms
  • Use strong journalistic ethics, news judgment, and decision‑making in daily coverage
  • Integrate digital and social media into the news gathering process and presentations
  • Meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous newsroom experience preferred
  • At least two years of reporting, shooting, and editing experience preferred
  • A college journalism degree or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Self‑starter with a passion for creating high‑quality content and a desire to learn and grow
  • Approach challenges with creative solutions
