Position Overview

We’re seeking a talented and dependable Makeup Artist who loves creating flawless, confidence-boosting looks for our clients. The ideal candidate is skilled, personable, and passionate about enhancing natural beauty through artistry and technique.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Professional Makeup Artist at Jay2Jah, Inc. The Professional Makeup Artist will be responsible for providing makeup services to clients, ensuring a high standard of artistry, and customizing looks based on client needs and preferences. The role includes collaborating with other beauty professionals, recommending products, and maintaining a clean and sanitized workstation. This is an on-site role located in Memphis, TN.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in makeup artistry
• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Experience in cosmetology
• Ability to provide training and guidance to clients and team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients
• Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and holidays
• Licensed esthetician or cosmetologist preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide professional makeup services for everyday looks, events, and bridal clients.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with the spa team to enhance the overall client experience.
• Assist with content creation (before/after photos, short reels, etc.) for marketing.
• Be punctual, reliable, and consistent with bookings and appointments.
• Commission-based pay with potential bonuses.
• Exposure to a growing luxury spa brand.
• Complimentary in-house perks (cocktails, facials, and VIP event access).
• Opportunities for creative projects and social media features.
