Position Description

The audio technician role requires technical skill, knowledge, and experience working with professional audio equipment. You will maintain and ensure that company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols are adhered to at all times.

Reports directly to the Audio Warehouse Manager and the show manager or lead when on a job site. Audio technicians set up equipment and systems in preparation of events, complete tasks assigned during the show, strike at the conclusion of events, and ensure equipment is protected and secured during down periods.

Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Receive and QC equipment in accordance with CPR standards.
  • Prep outgoing orders as assigned in a complete and show‑ready standard.
  • Report damages and issues on equipment following CPR procedures.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshoot damaged equipment; communicate to Manager on a course of action.
  • Participate in and maintain department inventory on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive attitude; report personnel conflicts, grievances, and policy violations to the Manager.
  • Assist in training new hires and existing personnel in company SOPs as needed.
  • Work in Flex Rental Inventory software.
  • On occasion, act as a driver.

Show Site Responsibilities

  • Fulfill the role assigned for that show and assist others as needed.
  • Interpret and utilize advance preparation information to produce an efficient and productive experience on site.
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable interaction with clients and artists to produce quality events.
  • Work as a team to represent a cohesive, capable group for the event.
  • Report damages and issues on equipment following CPR procedures.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive attitude; report personnel conflicts, grievances, and policy violations to the Manager.
  • On occasion, act as a driver.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have reliable transportation; punctuality required.
  • High School Diploma required; college education preferred with 3–5 years’ experience in the entertainment production industry.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using industry equipment (Yamaha, Digico, Avid, L‑Acoustic, Lab Gruppen, Shure, Clear‑Com, etc.).
  • Intermediate understanding of RF deployment, signal flow, Dante networking, festival stage patching, microphone techniques.
  • On‑site experience including generator connectivity, rigging equipment and practices, forklift, and boom lift operating; certification in forklift/boom/rigging is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vans, small to large box trucks.
  • Ability to load/unload trucks, overhead lift, lift over 50 lbs, and push items over 100 lbs daily.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and Flex Inventory control software is a plus.
