We’re looking for a designer who codes.Someone who is in a codebase every day and deeply feels the reality of developer tools firsthand.You'll help us craft Zed, making it even more beautiful, powerful, simple to use, and a true piece of art. Own the end-to-end user experience, ensuring Zed feels intuitive, cohesive, and awesome to use for developers Design simple, effective, and clean interfaces that empower developers and scale Help shape the product roadmap and build a strong vision, guiding the team toward it Work directly in Zed's Rust codebase while collaborating (lots of pair programming) with a small team of engineers to fully implement the features you designed Maintain and evolve Zed’s design system to make building Zed smooth and easy You love designing prototypes using AI as much as working in Figma You're detail-oriented and have great taste You enjoy operating on the bleeding edge, work well with ambiguity, and ship Familiarity with the Rust programming language Join us in revolutionizing the development experience.
