We are seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Director of Sales to lead strategic revenue growth, oversee sales and catering performance, and elevate market positioning for both the ClockTower Inn and Stella’s Kitchen and Bakery.
This is a senior leadership role with high visibility, autonomy, and direct influence over the hotel’s topline performance. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of achieving strong ROI on sales investment, driving RevPAR growth, and building high-performing teams that consistently exceed expectations.
Position Overview
The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives designed to maximize RevPAR, total revenue, and overall profitability for ClockTower Inn LLC, while also leading the catering sales execution for Stella’s Kitchen and Bakery. This position combines hands‑on business development with executive‑level leadership, market analysis, and strategic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and surpass revenue and market share goals.
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable the sales team for performance and pipeline management.
Collaborate directly with ownership and the General Manager to align revenue strategy with property financial objectives.
Implement clear performance metrics to ensure a minimum 8:1 ROI on sales wages.
Partner with revenue management to optimize pricing, rate mix, and channel strategy.
Monitor and analyze key competitors, demand generators, and local market conditions.
Adjust strategies proactively to capture emerging business opportunities and protect market share.
Client Development & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with top-producing accounts, corporate clients, and travel agencies.
Represent the hotel and restaurant at community events, networking functions, and industry trade shows.
Negotiate contracts that maximize both revenue and profitability, ensuring long-term partnerships.
Oversee all sales activities, ensuring timely response to leads, RFPs, and client communications.
Drive new group, corporate, and catering business with a focus on high-value, high-yield opportunities.
Maintain consistent, accurate CRM documentation, account tracking, and reporting.
Budget & Performance Management
Develop and manage the annual sales budget and expense controls.
Produce regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for ownership and management review.
Ensure full compliance with brand standards, sales policies, and reporting expectations.
Key Performance Indicators
Total Sales Revenue – Overall topline generation
RevPAR & ADR Growth – Efficiency and pricing strength
GOPPAR – Profitability per available room
ROI on Sales Labor – Minimum 8:1 benchmark
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven record of outperforming revenue goals and leading teams that drive measurable ROI.
Strong financial acumen and understanding of revenue management, forecasting, and budgeting.
Skilled communicator with exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Proficient in hotel CRM and sales systems (Delphi, SalesPro, Amadeus, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
