About the role As a Senior QA Automation Engineer: Selenium with Java for UI Automation, you will play a key role in building and maintaining robust automation frameworks that improve testing efficiency and ensure quality across enterprise applications. Your expertise in Selenium with Java for UI Automation and Rest Assured for API Automation will be critical to delivering scalable and reliable solutions. Experience with Playwright is a plus, adding flexibility to our automation strategy. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to define test strategies, mentor team members, and drive automation excellence.

In this role, you will:

Lead the team and mentor team members.

Handle release activities.

Collaborate with product owners, developers and stakeholders.

Debug and execute automation scripts.

Estimate testing efforts.

Define test strategy and test plan.

What you need to have to be considered

8+ years of QA experience with agile practices.

Expertise in writing, enhancing and executing automated scripts for test cases using Selenium and Playwright.

Experience with Playwright is a plus.

Experience with Selenium and Rest Assured framework.

Experience customizing automation frameworks using keyword‑driven and hybrid approaches.

Hands‑on experience in Java and TypeScript.

Expertise in developing and executing manual test scenarios and test cases.

Good experience in unit test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG and build tool Maven.

Experience with version control tools such as GitHub.

Good communication skills.

Who will stand out

Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until November 3rd, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 and $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
