Our client is a fast-growing fashion brand with a trend-driven audience. As the company expands its retail footprint across multiple states, they are looking for a Finance Associate to join their team and support the continued growth of their U.S. operations.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$110k
Position Overview:
The Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting all aspects of financial operations, with a primary focus on state and federal tax filings and compliance. This position will also handle vendor management, payment processing, and general accounting support. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants to contribute to a growing fashion business.
Responsibilities of the Finance Associate:
  • Support multi-state and federal tax compliance, including preparing and filing sales, use, income, franchise, and payroll tax returns.
  • Research and interpret state and local tax regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Review, process, and track vendor invoices and payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor and financial documentation.
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions using accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar tools.
  • Assist with financial setup and compliance for new retail locations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and reporting.
Required Experience/Skills for the Finance Associate:
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of both state and federal tax filings and compliance requirements (this is a must).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero) and Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with others.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Finance Associate:
  • Experience working within the fashion, retail, or e-commerce industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP or other financial systems.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
