JOB TITLE: User Experience Hardware Electrical Engineer
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (3 days in office)
PAY RANGE: $83-93/hr.
DURATION: 6 months
TOP 3 SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshooting
  • Experience taking a part or assembling from concept through production, working with external suppliers, and managing deliverables for multiple projects
Responsibilities
  • Specify electrical component and system requirements, lead engineering discussions and development with suppliers.
  • Coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software teams, and system operators to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis during development, validation, build, and deployment phases for issue resolution.
  • Support the development and execution of system and component-level validation test plans.
  • Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build, bring-up, and test activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience taking parts or assemblies from concept to production, managing multiple projects, and working with external suppliers.
  • Experience in automotive (CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, A2B, and other automotive networks), aerospace, or safety-critical industries.
  • Proficient with on-board digital serial interfaces such as SPI, UART, I2C, and I2S.
  • Experience with electrical and EMI/C testing.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Knowledge of automotive functional safety standards (ISO26262).
  • Firmware/software experience (managing, developing, testing).
  • Experience with chassis and/or electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with high-speed bus protocols such as PCIe, DisplayPort, and HDMI.
  • Experience using Altium, 3DX, Catia V5/V6, or similar tools.
