In the role of Project Designer, you'll be responsible for:
Designing architectural projects under the guidance of the Design Principal and collaborating with the project team.
Developing alternative concepts and key components of complex projects independently.
Preparing materials and participating in client presentations, internal critiques, and reviews with government agencies for project approvals.
Understanding code and cost implications of design decisions to ensure viability and compliance with project goals.
Coordinating design efforts with the multidiscipline project team through all project phases.
Conducting internal design sessions with the Design Principal and Project Manager, coordinating with other disciplines.
Managing workload of team members to meet design deliverables on schedule.
Reviewing architectural documents for conflicts with the Project Architect and other disciplines.
Writing and editing architectural specifications in collaboration with the Project Architect and Project Manager.
Incorporating changes into project documents as agreed.
Providing construction contract administration support to maintain design intent during construction.
Leading and mentoring junior designers and staff as needed.
Contributing to the studio's design culture.
Performing other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Architecture.
Registered Architect.
Experience with healthcare, educational, civic, science, and research facilities.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, and other modeling and graphics programs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related tools.
Graphic presentation skills.
Experience preparing architectural contract documents and specifications.
