Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.
Join SiFly’s mission to redefine how humans interact with autonomous flight. You’ll craft the interfaces that let pilots, farmers, and first responders see, plan, and act through our drones—turning intricate flight systems into effortless tools. Your design vision will help shape the look and feel of next‑generation aerial intelligence.
Company
SiFly Aviation, Inc. is developing high‑endurance drones designed to revolutionize public safety, surveying, and beyond. Our high‑efficiency propulsion system more than doubles flight time compared to competitors—a breakthrough that earned us a Guinness World Record earlier this year. This means customers can achieve true helicopter‑duration flight in a cost‑effective drone platform, enabling public‑safety agencies to execute Drone‑as‑First‑Responder (DFR) missions remotely and efficiently, and empowering farmers to monitor multiple farms with ease. We are at the forefront of integrating advanced technologies such as AI, video signal processing, real‑time multispectral image viewing, long‑range wireless communications, and aerodynamic flight control.
Role
Design user experiences (desktop and mobile) for pilots controlling drones in real time.
Design web and desktop dashboards to administer fleets of drones and related equipment: mission planning, payload data delivery, maintenance, updates, and analytics.
Ensure interfaces are intuitive under high cognitive load on small screens (real‑time control, safety‑critical operations, map/navigation, multiple video feeds).
Collaborate closely with engineering (front‑end and back‑end) and product management.
Build user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and perform usability testing.
Improve and maintain the design system for consistency across apps and platforms (web, desktop, and mobile).
Maintain strong visual design standards with a heavy UX focus on usability, workflow, and task efficiency.
Requirements
5+ years of UI/UX design experience (mobile + web).
Experience in aerospace, aviation, drones, robotics, IoT, or logistics. Portfolio includes at least one of the following: control systems interface, fleet/asset management dashboard, drone/UAV or aviation interface, map/geospatial UI, or real‑time telemetry UI.
Proficiency in Figma.
Experience building design systems and component libraries.
Comfortable working in a cross‑functional team (i.e. with engineering + product).
Excellent communication and visual design skills.
Nice to have: Experience with AR/VR or immersive controls.
Nice to have: Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
Nice to have: Strong user research and usability testing skills.
What We Offer
Opportunity to work on next‑generation drone and AI platforms with real‑world impact.
