What This Position Is All About

We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Lead Store Associate for Merchandise and Visual Presentation to support and oversee the execution of corporate merchandising and visual direction within the store. The role is key in creating a visually engaging shopping experience that drives customer traffic and supports sales.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all in‑store displays and product arrangements adhere to corporate visual and merchandising standards.
  • Maintain the aesthetic quality and neatness of merchandise displays, adjusting them for seasonal changes and product launches.
  • Organize products to create eye‑catching displays that enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales opportunities.
  • Follow and implement corporate visual directives to create an appealing store environment.
  • Collaborate with store management to execute visual changes, updates, and campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand standards and seasonal themes.
  • Regularly check and update all in‑store signage, promotional displays, and window/perimeter signage.
  • Lead by example in upholding company merchandising and presentation standards; support and guide store associates on visual presentation best practices.
  • Provide feedback and training to team members to ensure merchandise and displays are presented to the highest standards.
  • Work closely with the Store Director and Assistant Store Directors to discuss and implement visual changes in the store based on sales, inventory, and seasonal needs.
  • Assist with product inventory and stock organization to support sales targets and promotional activities.
  • Ensure all visual merchandising efforts contribute to creating a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable shopping environment for customers.
  • Monitor customer reactions to displays and signage, adapting strategies where necessary to enhance customer engagement.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of visual presentation principles, including product placement, color theory, and design trends.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high‑quality standards in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing store needs and seasonal adjustments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of retail experience with a focus on visual merchandising, merchandising coordination, or a similar role.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed (up to 40 lbs).
  • Ability to climb ladders to arrange displays or adjust signage.
