How You'll Contribute

Lead a specialized audiovisual production team responsible for the documentation, live broadcast, and archival preservation of historically significant government events, activities, and personnel. Oversee all aspects of daily operationsfrom field production planning, staffing, and live event execution to footage quality control and compliance with strict archival standards. Act as the primary point of contact for coordinating with stakeholders, resolving technical or logistical challenges, and maintaining readiness for surge or emergent coverage.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise and mentor broadcast videographers, providing ongoing guidance and support to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Responsibility for staff schedules and overseeing individual and collective performance to maintain high standards and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with media managers and editors to deliver for official requests and lead pre-production briefings and post-event reviews.
  • Plan and oversee documentary shoots and live broadcasts for high-profile government events and officials in restricted environments.
  • Ensure technical production readiness for all assignments while maintaining a discreet operational profile appropriate for sensitive settings.
  • Collaborate with team members to guarantee that all aspects of production meet required standards and secure real-time transmission of live feeds.
  • Review all footage for quality assurance and verify compliance with NARA standards and oversee editing, media logging, storage, and delivery to guarantee accurate documentation and preservation of audiovisual materials.
  • Maintain production schedules and staffing to support 24/7 mission readiness, ensuring flexible availability and readiness to respond to emergent needs.
  • Prepare regular reports on production activities to ensure accountability and transparency, including production deliverables and quality metrics.
  • Oversee the inventory and maintenance of equipment, ensuring all audiovisual tools are in optimal working condition, and manage any technical upgrades and equipment issues.
What You'll Bring

Required Skills/Qualifications: Must have a minimum of active interim security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain active TS/SCI clearance. Bachelor's in Film/TV Production, Broadcast Journalism, or equivalent experience. 710 years in documentary/news/live broadcast production team leadership, with advanced skills in live event setup and camera direction in documentary, news, or live broadcast settings. Expertise in broadcast/cinema camera operation, live broadcast, and troubleshooting with technical skills in AV equipment, media archiving, lighting, audio, and multi-camera setups. Ability to manage sensitive coverage and interact with senior officials, with excellent attention to detail and compliance with archival standards and federal retention policies. Excellent communication in secure/sensitive environments and experience supervising technical staff and managing schedules.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Experience in filming or documentary for high-profile subjects. Familiarity with federal event protocols, secure workflows, archival video standards, and metadata management. Strong knowledge of post-production tools (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve). Experience mentoring and coordinating production crews.

Work Schedule & Requirements

MondayFriday, flexible shifts (7:00 AM7:00 PM). On-call coverage for evenings, weekends, holidays. Fully on-site at a secure federal facility in the Washington D.C. area.
