Job Summary

Join a supportive and highly collaborative team at Microsoft focused on firmware and drivers for next‑generation gaming accessories. You will be a key contributor, writing C/C++ code to implement core functionality for a new, high‑volume wireless gaming audio headset in a lab environment.

Location: Redmond, Washington

Job type: Contract

Salary: $74 - 84 per hour

Work hours: 8am to 5pm

Education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Design, bring up, and implement real‑time embedded audio system features on a Qualcomm‑based platform.
• Develop production‑quality firmware publishing pipelines and robust test strategies.
• Write, debug, and optimize C/C++ code for high‑volume consumer electronics.
• Utilize specialized tooling (Qualcomm compilers, JTAG) to bring up and debug physical devices.
• Must work 5 days a week onsite in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with Qualcomm firmware, SDKs, and toolchains.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience coding in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Proven experience developing and debugging embedded systems using Qualcomm compilers and tooling.
• Must be able to work 5 days a week onsite in Redmond, WA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wireless communication protocols, including USB, BR/EDR (Bluetooth Classic), and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).
• Experience with consumer electronics devices that are battery‑powered and communicate wirelessly.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
