Location: St. Louis, MO
Contract: 12 months
Hybrid role - 4 days Onsite and 1 day Remote
Job Description
- THIS IS A 12 MONTH CONTINGENT POSITION.
- ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES TO ST. LOUIS, MO WILL BE CONSIDERED.
- MUST WORK ONSITE MON-THURS. WFH FRIDAY.
- MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIO TO BE CONSIDERED
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A PET FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT
- PLEASE NOTE: Portfolios need to be impressive from a design and motion perspective. The manager is looking for social media experience. Must have strong motion examples.
POSITION SUMMARY
- CheckMark is the in-house creative resource of Client.

- We share a passion for pets. You will create and version online content for client brands where digital solutions will be applied at a real time pace.
- You will have a deep working knowledge of interactive and social media spaces and consult with internal and external teams to create effective work.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the direction of a creative director, design and execute online communications with excellent design capabilities, a complete understanding of interactive space and user experience empathy.
- Primarily, exercise quality assurance and strong attention to detail against master creative template while versioning multiple pieces of content for eCommerce, CRM communications, social media content and more.
- Digital files are constructed in the most memory-efficient manner.
- Digital files are accurate and error-free.
- Ideal candidate would be both collaborative and self-sufficient with a problem-solving, proactive attitude and approach to role and responsibilities.
- Proper use of trademarks and logos. Legal and regulatory requirements met. All files meet AFFCO/NASC standards for quality.
- Meets internal standards of good typography: proper hyphenation, kerning, line breaks, legibility.
- Accurate sizes and specifications used throughout.
- All projects are routed to Proofreader before presentation to review group
- Operate with a degree of autonomy by receiving project assignments, completing on time, understanding direction, and applying feedback.
- Collaborate effectively with Community Managers, internal and external teams, legal, clients and vendor partners.
- Stay current on trends and technology in the digital/mobile/social space and understand their application to client business.
- Be able to collaborate and share knowledge for the betterment of the idea and/or project.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to contribute to long-range agency and company goals relating to growth of interactive capabilities and business.
- Ability to concurrently apply skills to multiple projects on different client brand assignments.
- A positive attitude, high energy, and passion for creating effective, solution-oriented work.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum)
- 1+ years of experience in the digital space preferably with a creative agency.
- 1+ years of experience with social campaigns, digital display, and eContent.
- 1+ years of experience with After Effects and motion design.
SKILLS
- Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills for both digital and print design.
- Strong understanding of designing for social, ecommerce and digital display.
- Ability to contribute to brainstorming and general problem solving.
- Strong typography skills.
- Strong motion design skills, including After Effects, animated GIFs.
- Basic video editing skills.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Design Skills: Responsible for design variations, or entire design as outlined by project AD.
- Skilled with Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Knowledge of advanced key commands, paragraph formatting, typography, style sheets, tab fields.
