Our headquarters are in Marina del Rey, California, with over 50 offices throughout the state.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Job Description

We are seeking full‑time Editors to join our team. The Editor will work one on one with QME physicians to provide quality assurance for reports. Ability to calculate impairment ratings is a must. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, workers’ compensation, and leadership. Applicants must have prior experience editing California QME reports for physicians. Please prepare a list of the QMEs you have worked with in the past.

You are:

  • An experienced QME report editor with thorough understanding of California WC case law related to causation and apportionment
  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians and provide feedback
  • Efficient and independent with reports
  • Adaptable to our technology‑driven workflow
  • Highly organized and accountable

Responsibilities

  • Timely report editing
  • Rating according to the AMA Guides 5th Edition and all relevant case law in California
  • Providing insight and direction to new QME physicians regarding industrial causation and apportionment discussions
  • Continuous learning opportunities
  • One‑on‑one communication with physicians
  • Quality assurance with a goal of helping our QMEs produce compliant and neutral reports
  • Strong preference for editors with experience in AME reports
  • Deposition prep (assisting the physician to justify and explain conclusions in prior reports)
  • Opportunities for growth and training of other editors

Qualifications

  • Experienced California QME report editor
  • Knowledge and experience discussing industrial causation, apportionment, and permanent impairment rating (AMA Guides 5th Edition)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • At least 3 years’ experience editing QME reports for physicians in California
