Job Purpose Statement:

We are seeking an in-house Production Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role will focus on creating high-quality design assets for established brands, including Sunday services, social media, and other ministry initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in industry-standard design tools, and capable of bringing established brand identities to life across multiple platforms.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in graphic design for digital and print media.
  • Ability to balance creative vision with brand consistency.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Graphic Design & Asset Creation

  • Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-quality graphics and visual assets for Sunday sermons, social media campaigns, email marketing, website, print collateral, and special church-wide events.
  • Translate creative direction into compelling visuals that maintain consistency and excellence across platforms.
  • Prepare all design files for digital and print use, ensuring accuracy in formatting, sizing, and technical specifications.

Brand Alignment & Innovation

  • Work within Legacy Nashville’s established brand guidelines while creatively adapting assets to fit a variety of project needs.
  • Actively contribute to evolving the brand by recommending fresh design approaches that align with the church’s mission and vision.

Project & Calendar Management

  • Manage the church-wide design calendar, prioritizing and scheduling projects in alignment with ministry needs, campaigns, and events.
  • Coordinate timelines to ensure on-time delivery of assets for Sunday services, seasonal campaigns, and other critical initiatives.
  • Track progress of multiple projects simultaneously, providing regular status updates to the Creative Director and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with ministry leaders and departments to identify design needs, provide creative solutions, and deliver assets that support departmental objectives.
  • Attend planning meetings to gain visibility into upcoming initiatives and proactively prepare design concepts.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure design supports broader church-wide campaigns and storytelling efforts.

Systems & Process Development

  • Create and manage an efficient system for processing asset requests, ensuring clarity in scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop intake forms, guidelines, and workflows that streamline communication between departments and the design team, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Maintain a library of design templates and reusable assets to improve speed, consistency, and scalability of design output.

Quality & Excellence

  • Uphold a standard of excellence in every design project, ensuring all assets are engaging, brand-aligned, and ministry-focused.
  • Conduct quality control checks before final delivery, reviewing for accuracy, clarity, and impact.
