About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Director of Content Operations, the Manager will work with the Wall Street Journal newsroom, and other Dow Jones publications and products, to manage speaker outreach and communications for in‑person and virtual events, and play a critical role to ensure all interviews and talks are produced to the highest of standards.

You Will

  • Support the Dow Jones Live Journalism team in achieving overarching goals
  • Stay abreast of the news, both covered by WSJ and its competitors
  • Work closely with the newsroom and various Dow Jones product leads to help research topic and speaker ideas, and to manage speaker outreach and communications
  • Collaborate with event host and moderators to draft the scripts
  • Schedule and run regular programming meetings with news editors and product leads
  • Be the liaison between multiple teams including the newsroom, marketing, membership, communications, sponsorship sales, sponsorship activation and events

You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in programming and content creation
  • Passionate about content and live events
  • Knowledge of the industry and competitive landscape
  • Possess an established network of speakers, industry leaders and PR firms
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working with key internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Strong presentation, problem‑solving and project management skills
  • A goal‑oriented self starter
  • Demonstrated cross‑functional teamwork and project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond to deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Proven decision making and problem‑solving capabilities with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the company
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
