Job Summary
San Francisco de Asis, a faith‑based Catholic elementary school committed to academic excellence and spiritual growth, is seeking a Part‑Time Substitute to fulfill a multifaceted role including Technology/Media instruction, Librarian responsibilities, student remediation, and supervision duties. This position is ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic about technology integration, student literacy, and academic support in a Catholic school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Duties
As a Technology Teacher
- Teach technology lessons to students in grades K–8.
- Teach digital citizenship, typing, and responsible technology use.
- Teach library/media literacy skills and support classroom curriculum when applicable.
As Media Librarian
- Manage the school library, including book circulation, cataloging, and organization.
- Promote literacy through reading aloud, book talks, and seasonal displays.
- Guide students in selecting age‑appropriate books and using research resources.
As a K–3 Interventionist
- Provide targeted small‑group instruction in reading and/or math to support struggling learners.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to identify students needing intervention.
- Monitor and track student progress using assessment data and teacher feedback.
- Deliver instruction using evidence‑based programs and methods.
Student Supervision
- Assist with daily recess and lunch duty supervision, ensuring student safety and adherence to school policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field required; valid teaching credential preferred.
- Previous classroom experience and/or experience with instructional technology and library/media preferred.
- Practicing Catholic or willingness to support the Catholic mission and values of the school.

Working Conditions
- This position requires in‑person presence on campus three days a week (Tuesdays–Thursdays) from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- The role involves movement between classrooms, the library/media center, and indoor/outdoor supervisory duties.
