Temporary Faculty – Music

Georgia Southern University’s Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music is seeking part‑time faculty to teach applied music courses for the 2024–2025 academic year on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis.

Location

Statesboro, Georgia

Position Details

Temporary, Part‑time faculty positions, taught as required.

Responsibilities

  • Teach applied music courses for music education and music performance majors.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Music.
  • Experience teaching privately in an applied instrument.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College teaching experience in applied instrument.

Proposed Salary

To be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Consistently exhibit engaging customer service.
  • Ability to support various constituencies served by the University.
  • Proven proficiency with computers (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other applications as required).
  • Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, and human relations skills.

Employment Conditions

  • Work must be completed while physically present in the state of Georgia, unless authorized otherwise.
  • Faculty are expected to engage students and participate in campus events.
  • Assignments may be required across the three campuses.
  • Offers are contingent upon background checks, verification of credentials, and compliance with university policies.
