Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Design Manager, you will leverage your design expertise alongside your leadership capabilities to drive innovative solutions for complex challenges and guide product strategy effectively. Key competencies for this role include: Product Design Mastery:
Exhibit exceptional product design skills, applying a comprehensive understanding of interaction, visual, and service design. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to determine the best tools, frameworks, and design systems while creating artifacts such as journey maps, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Leadership:
Oversee design projects, mentor junior designers, and cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders across various functions to elevate the overall product design practice. Human-Centered Approach:
Utilize critical-thinking skills to balance stakeholder needs with customer-centric solutions, and ensure inclusivity in design. Business Acumen:
Understand product and process intricacies while applying insights on customers, competitors, and market trends to influence team strategies. Innovative Problem-Solving:
Stay informed about technology, data capabilities, and emerging trends to help navigate technical constraints and push the envelope on impactful solutions. Collaborative Spirit:
Build a robust network across the organization to enhance collaboration and drive product strategies forward. Effective Communication:
Present design concepts clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders, integrating design frameworks and research insights to influence high-level decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing leadership, process, results, and impact. Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years in a Product Design role. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma for at least 5 years. Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Product Design. Advanced skills in design tools, particularly Figma. Experience with design systems. Collaboration experience with product, tech, and business partners. Leadership experience in design projects or teams. Experience in heavily regulated and data-driven environments. This role will require working in our McLean, VA office.
