Account Executive – Advertising Sales Buckeye Broadband Job Summary The Advertising Sales Account Executive is responsible for prospecting new clients and selling multi‑platform Buckeye Broadband advertising to local advertisers, achieving productivity levels and revenue goals, reporting to the Market Manager, with no direct reports. Essential Job Functions Increasing the revenue of Buckeye Broadband through the sale of commercial advertising on cable, OTT, digital, billboard, and social media platforms. Presenting new ideas to clients and explaining how specific types of multi‑platform advertising will help promote the client’s products or services in the most effective way possible. Developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with small and medium sized businesses to increase and retain advertising sales revenue, including making calls, sending letters and emails, and driving personal visits to retailers and advertisers. Processing all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts. Delivering advertising proofs to clients for approval. Preparing promotional plans, sales literature, media kits, and sales contracts. Developing and preparing idea‑focused marketing program presentations and cost estimates for potential Buckeye clients. Meeting the monthly sales activity and revenue goals established for the position. Performing collections of accounts as needed. Performing reporting functions, including keeping the CRM updated and other projection and forecast activity. Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times. Performing any miscellaneous department duties as needed. Job Requirements Education and Experience High school diploma or the equivalent – required. Minimum 2 years of previous outside sales experience – required. Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use the Internet – required. Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint and Word – preferred. Familiarity with contact management applications (such as Salesforce or other CRM) – preferred. Core Competencies Agile – embraces change; adaptable and flexible; sense of urgency. Strictly maintains confidentiality of financial and/or other information acquired in the course of work; discloses only when authorized, unless legally obligated to do so. Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards at all times (used if driving is required). PHYSICAL DEMANDS Walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), and use of hands and fingers. Light lifting of 25 lbs. is occasionally needed. WORKING CONDITIONS Entry‑level full‑time, exempt sales position, regularly working 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work as needed to meet customer needs, including Saturdays, Sundays or weekends. Works with various office equipment including, but not limited to, telephones, personal computers, printers, fax machines, paper shredders, copy machines. Required to drive on the job as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company standards; if conditions are not met, must not drive and must report to supervisor immediately.
