Overview Strategist, Influencer Marketing responsible for planning and executing social media campaigns for our clients, focusing on influencer marketing, community management, social media trend reporting, and social listening.
Location: Flexible within specified offices (Stamford, CT; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA). Remote candidates will not be considered.
Responsibilities
Simultaneously lead multiple projects with strong project management and organizational skills. Oversee timelines, onsite operations, content capture, approvals, and timely posting of all influencer content from initial recommendation to final wrap-up.
Develop and pitch influencer and social strategies for Octagon brand clients, actively participating in strategic digital brainstorms.
Lead all aspects of influencer program planning and execution, including identifying social trends, platforms for execution, and talent discovery. Craft programs that are creative, innovative, and data-driven.
Manage talent procurement, working closely with clients and talent through negotiation and contracting.
Develop influencer creative briefs and pitch concepts to clients and partners; build campaigns that are authentic and on-trend with platforms and communities.
Serve as a primary data investigator: work with analytics, establish KPIs, demographics analysis, measurement, ROI calculation, and real-time reporting.
Support and help train analysts/strategists (1-2).
Work on sports partnerships by connecting brands and creators to the sports properties they sponsor.
Qualifications 3-5 years of proven experience in influencer marketing.
Passion for sports, entertainment, music, celebrity and pop culture; strong pulse on trending social and digital content.
Experience working with talent, including content creators, athletes, and celebrities.
Self-starter with initiative to support day-to-day logistics of planning, implementing, and reporting on social and influencer programs.
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X (Twitter) mechanics and best practices.
Curious and proficient in how data and analytics tools are used in social media; data-driven mindset.
Experience with digital analytics and social tools (examples: CreatorIQ, Infegy, Brandwatch).
Organized contributor with attention to follow-through; strong project management skills to build and monitor trackers and deliverables.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Flexibility and willingness to travel (Anticipated travel 0-15%).
