Toole Design Group in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an experienced full-time Office Director to lead our Silver Spring team. This leadership position focuses on planning, design, and implementation of human-centered multimodal transportation and sustainable places, while building and mentoring a high-performing team to exceed client expectations.

As Director, you will lead our Silver Spring team and serve as a liaison with regional and company leadership. You will foster a positive culture, manage, mentor, and recruit staff, and pursue and win work with an equity-centered approach. You will help grow a local team working on projects throughout the Washington Metropolitan area and beyond, collaborating with staff in the Mid-Atlantic region and other offices. You will influence and shape our practice with support from operations and leadership. Compensation We are targeting a salary range of $135,000-$170,000 for this position. Placement within the range varies by discipline, experience, and qualifications. Candidates invited to interview may inquire about where they fall within the range. A passion for working with a dynamic and diverse team, and an inclusive approach to achieving success A degree in Planning, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or strong technical understanding of the Architecture and Engineering industry A minimum of 10 years of experience A minimum of 5 years of experience in a consulting firm or similar Experience managing and developing staff Experience pursuing and winning work that is competitively bid Experience solving problems and guiding others through challenging situations Excellent oral and written communication skills A strong interest in multimodal transportation and/or sustainable places You'll be great here if

This full-time position works three days per week in the office (typically Tuesday–Thursday). We provide flexibility to work from home up to two days per week and the necessary equipment.
