POSITION SUMMARY
ARM is seeking a Membership Marketing Manager to serve as a critical part of the Membership & Events team. This individual will provide excellent customer service, helping member companies engage with the association and get the most from their membership. They will work to promote membership to corporations, nonprofit organizations, universities, and patient advocacy groups around the world.
The position reports to the Senior Director of Membership. This is a hybrid position based in the DC Metropolitan area. The person in this role will be required to be in the office at least two days per week, including Wednesdays. Our current office location is in Washington, DC.

JOB DUTIES
Member Recruitment & Engagement
Coordinate membership engagement and recruitment plans for conferences and in-person meetings by managing ARM staff member meetings with members and prospects at 3-5 conferences per year.
Facilitate ARM membership dinners by proposing invitation lists, sending invitations and managing RSVPs, and recommending, booking, and liaising with venues.
Maintain Membership Department prospects list to keep colleagues on track for member and prospect follow up. Lead the weekly prospects meetings.
Lead and participate in member recruitment and engagement meetings virtually and at ARM events.
Build and maintain an ongoing list of prospects for recruitment.
Use iMIS, LinkedIn, and other resources to develop lists of prospective members.
Marketing
Develop and maintain a membership marketing calendar focused on recruiting and engaging members and keeping members informed about ARM initiatives and member benefits.
Draft eblasts and other mass communications to recruit new members and engage existing members.
Create and maintain membership marketing materials including emails, PowerPoint decks, one-pagers, event marketing materials and swag, sponsorship prospectuses, Higher Logic user guides, banners and logos.
Send eblasts to members on breaking news in the CGT sector on an ad hoc basis.
Design, draft, and maintain member-related pages for the ARM website.
Forums and advisory groups
Lead the twice-yearly process of turning over members for 12+ committees, managing timelines, drafting and sending communications to staff and members, and managing the application review process.
General
As a power user of ARM’s database, iMIS, maintain up-to-date and clean data.
Serve as backup for managing the ARM membership email inbox.
Assist members and staff with usage of the Higher Logic member portal.
Draft and maintain detailed procedural documents for all job responsibilities.
Attend Meetings on the Mediterranean and Mesa and support membership initiatives at both.
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required. Proficiency with MS Office especially, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Preferred. 2-4 years of association experience
Essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Essential. Database management (CRM) experience. ARM uses iMIS.
