Position Summary The Instructional Designer is responsible for working independently, with limited supervision, to design, develop, and deliver high-quality instructional materials and training programs that align with company objectives. The role requires a higher level of creativity, problem‑solving skills, and expertise in instructional design principles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Create and design engaging, effective, and interactive learning materials, including eLearning courses and instructor‑led training, job aids, and other resources.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and organize content, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience.

Manage and execute the instructional design process for assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Review and edit training materials for clarity, consistency, and instructional effectiveness.

Propose and develop creative solutions to enhance the learning experience and improve existing training programs.

Coach and provide guidance to lower‑level professionals within the team, aiding in their professional development.

Collaborate with peers and managers to address complex instructional‑design challenges and contribute to the improvement of learning processes.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies Experience Minimum 2 years related experience.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills Required

Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

Proficiency in designing and developing a variety of learning materials, including eLearning courses, instructor‑led training, job aids, and assessments.

Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Practical knowledge of project management techniques to oversee instructional design projects from initiation to completion.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS); basic graphic design skills or proficiency in using graphic design software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders, managing expectations, gathering feedback; change‑management skills.

Ability to create clear and coherent instructional materials.

Strong attention to detail for reviewing and editing training materials.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience – Minimum 2 years in a training or facilitation role within the direct auto‑finance market, banking/finance company/auto industry.

Education – Advanced training or certifications in human resources, talent development, or related fields.

Travel 10–20% as required.

Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.

Physical Demands Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, close vision for computer work, speaking, hearing, lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Reasonable accommodation will be reviewed upon request.
