Summary The Lifestyle Group at Hyatt is seeking a creative and passionate Senior Manager - Nightlife Experience, Culture, and Environment to join our dynamic team in the NYC Hub. This role supports the Brands team in shaping distinctive, design-forward hospitality experiences across Hyatt’s Lifestyle brands, such as The Standard, Thompson Hotels, Dream, Andaz, and Bunkhouse Hotels.

The Opportunity The Lifestyle Group is seeking a Senior Manager - Nightlife Experience, Culture, and Environment to help translate localized cultural insights into immersive guest experiences across Lifestyle Properties. The role blends creative strategy with operational execution—curating venue identities, managing environmental elements (lighting and sound), and fostering partnerships with artists and tastemakers to deliver emotionally resonant, on-brand activations. Collaboration across departments and hands-on refinement of guest experience in real time are required.

The Role The Experience & Environment Curation + Brand Identity Senior Manager supports the Global Head of Culture, Experience & Environment in translating localized cultural insights into immersive guest experiences across Lifestyle Properties. This role blends creative strategy with operational execution—curating venue identities, managing environmental elements like lighting and sound, and fostering partnerships with artists and tastemakers to deliver emotionally resonant, on-brand activations. It requires strong collaboration across departments and a hands-on approach to refining guest experience in real time.

Key Responsibilities

Experience & Environment Curation + Brand Identity: translate localized cultural research and conceptual narratives into immersive, operationally sound guest experiences across Lifestyle Properties.

Music programming including band and DJ curation/bookings; foundational knowledge of sound production and equipment; contribute to shaping and monitoring the venue’s sound identity.

Collaborate with property teams (Nightlife, Marketing, Operations) to define venue identities reflecting global brand ethos and local character.

Manage day-to-day programming and environment curation, integrating lighting, sound, scent, and energy flow to evoke emotional resonance.

Develop and maintain partnerships within creative communities to drive culturally relevant programming.

Implement and uphold experiential standards aligned with the Global Head’s environmental and guest interaction frameworks.

Oversee technical coordination of soundscapes, live performances, resident DJ curation, and dayparted playlists with FOH and technical teams.

Collaborate with Marketing and PR to generate content that promotes programming highlights.

Budget management for experience programming, production, and event activations.

Support new property openings and major activations with training and execution of environmental vision.

Spend substantial time on-property to observe guest interactions and refine delivery in real time.

Communication, Leadership & Team Engagement

Serve as a cultural ambassador and mentor, inspiring programming teams to deliver on-brand guest experiences.

Build cross-departmental relationships for operational alignment and smooth delivery of initiatives.

Communicate clearly with the Global Head of Culture, Experience & Environment and property leadership.

Demonstrate agility and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.

Maintain a professional, respectful demeanor with colleagues and guests.

Operational Support & Brand Integration

Partner with Operations to monitor and fine-tune lighting, temperature, sound levels, and staff choreography to support the desired atmosphere.

Develop and execute a dynamic lifestyle programming calendar with events, rituals, and activations that build community engagement.

Analyze performance metrics and guest feedback to iterate and elevate programming strategies.

Support strategic planning to scale the experiential vision across the global portfolio.

Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications

Passionate and knowledgeable about music, nightlife, and contemporary culture with a strong cultural sensibility

Established network within creative communities, including artists, musicians, DJs, and tastemakers

Deep understanding of environmental design elements (lighting, sound, scent, spatial flow) and their impact on guest experience

Skilled collaborator and communicator with marketing, operations, and creative teams

Budget and project management experience for event programming and venue production

Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining high standards

Proactive leadership style with experience mentoring teams

Highly professional, discreet, and culturally sensitive

The salary range for this position is $132,240-$146,160. The final pay rate/salary offered will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the work. Pay will meet local requirements, including local minimum wage rates.
