Overview
Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Procurement/Sourcing Manager for Marketing Category. You will monitor industry trends and business requirements, consulting with the business to identify and deploy best practices in procurement, category management, and supplier management. You will collaborate with various business groups including Marketing, Government Affairs, Sales and cross-functional teams like Contracts, Legal, Finance, and Compliance to maximize company value, optimize the respective category’s budget, and mitigate risk. You will align with internal stakeholders to identify their needs and requirements. You will identify potential service and product suppliers who can deliver the best value to Qualcomm and satisfy project goals and objectives. You will manage the supplier sourcing process for both services and products. You will engage, analyze, and evaluate supplier responses (e.g., RFP) according to category data, market data, should-cost models, and other analytics for accuracy, competitiveness, and completeness. You will conduct negotiations with suppliers to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership while achieving mutual goals, benefits, and objectives. You will manage supplier contracts including reviewing and ongoing relationship management activities. Note:
This role requires onsite work in office, 5 days a week.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field. 6+ years of industry-specific experience in Procurement, Operations, or related work experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Utilize current industry trends, data analysis, third-party supplier spend data, and internal requirements to develop strategies that proactively identify optimization opportunities to assist the Business Team in meeting their goals. Support and drive the execution of strategic sourcing plans and supplier spend management strategies, including handling complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations that optimize value to the company. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key business partners to understand their needs and become a trusted partner in strategically managing their spend and supplier relationships. Establish supplier positioning and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, influencing their processes, resource decisions, performance management, and policies to create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships. Develop strong internal partnerships across Indirect Procurement, Finance, Operations, Stakeholder, Compliance, and Legal teams. Maintain accurate and complete records, work with various business groups to simplify processes, and contribute to the implementation, planning, and change management of process improvement initiatives across Indirect Procurement. Ensure adherence to procurement policies and manage the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues and escalations. Provide regular communication and training on procurement processes and systems to stakeholders and suppliers. Act as a procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business to identify, develop, and deploy best practice procurement, category management, and supplier management. Demonstrate strong knowledge and skills in developing accurate Statements of Work and/or other governing agreements. Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with the Contracts Team to ensure agreements follow Qualcomm legal protocols and business objectives/timelines are satisfied. Lead sourcing-related activities for the marketing category, manage the support team to achieve company and department goals and objectives. Develop category strategies, establish and formalize engagements with the supply base for the marketing category, and manage stakeholder and supplier relationships. Work independently with little supervision and provide supervision to direct reports as appropriate. Manage employee development and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Demonstrate strong strategic thinking to innovate, optimize processes, and create a sustainable competitive advantage. Apply deductive and inductive problem solving, including advanced data analysis and interpretation when information is incomplete or conflicting. Participate in the organization\'s planning process, interpret business strategies, and establish strategic plans and objectives for multiple areas and functions.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Lead teams to identify internal stakeholder needs and requirements based on procurement processes, systems, and business needs. Manage multiple teams and projects cross-functionally; develop and contribute to the category strategy based on expertise and stakeholder input. Use technical expertise to identify trends, perform market and financial analysis, and define future solutions in discussions with senior stakeholders. Guide multiple teams to implement high-impact go-to-market procurement strategies across cross-functional units. Oversee creation of supplier selection criteria to obtain products or services aligned with stakeholder needs and project goals. Guide teams to apply established methods and processes for sourcing, review supplier feedback, and communicate expectations for supplier selection. Develop negotiation strategies and supplier relationships; oversee supplier activities to align with organizational objectives. Make decisions with broad organizational implications and work with high-level representatives from other functions to execute large initiatives. Review projects to determine analyses needed and assign work; escalate issues to senior leadership as needed.

Experience developing and executing strategic sourcing category plans. Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. Understanding of international markets and global sourcing strategies. Familiarity with sourcing and procurement software. High emotional intelligence with strong communication skills. Certifications or advanced degrees in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits: $124,600.00 - $186,800.00. The salary is one component of total compensation; Qualcomm offers a competitive bonus program and RSU grants, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
