Overview

Temporary role: Floral Design Training Coordinator at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. The Floriology Institute is seeking a Floriology Education Assistant to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This role supports the educational and operational aspects of our floral design programs. Approximately 80% computer work and 20% general support. Responsibilities

Utilize Salesforce to input student leads, actively engage with potential students through calls, emails, and texts to promote classes, and maintain a billing spreadsheet for financial tracking. Craft and send newsletters, develop student reminders, and support the Floriology Digital Magazine as needed. Perform design work, video editing, and update our website (Thinkific) to ensure our online presence is current and compelling. Post to social media platforms with Pinterest and Google updates to broaden reach and engagement. Create a monthly posting schedule to ensure timely and appropriate content. Process flowers for classes and photo shoots; prepare materials for instructors and students. Maintain the cooler, workroom, classroom, and all floral containers. Physical labor may include setting up tables, cleaning the classroom, sanitizing and scrubbing buckets, and moving water-filled buckets of flowers between the cooler and classroom. The role is not a Monday–Friday position; classes begin on Sundays and may require additional time to ensure a quality student experience. Some travel and driving of rental vans are required. Oversee inventory of flowers and supplies, conduct regular checks to maintain an accurate record, and ensure timely ordering and replenishment. Physical labor includes carrying supplies to and from the supply room on the second floor of the warehouse and keeping materials stored in their proper places. Provide direct assistance in the classroom and to students, contributing to a learning-friendly environment. This includes driving students to and from the school as needed. The role is not a Monday–Friday position; classes begin on Sundays and may require additional time to ensure a good experience. Some travel and driving of rental vans are required. Handle various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of educational programs, including maintaining an organized workspace and supporting billing and invoicing. Research topics for classes, create quizzes, grade exams, shoot and edit video and images for use in creative projects, and maintain a databank for future use. Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce and Thinkific. Ability to craft newsletters, develop student reminders, and support digital publications. Experience with design work, video editing, and social media posting; ability to develop a creative monthly posting schedule. Ability to process and manage floral materials, maintain cleanliness of classrooms and workspaces, and perform light to moderate physical labor. Willingness to travel and drive rental vans as needed.
