The

Social Media Manager

is the executional backbone of Hello There Collective’s social department.

They translate strategy into content — managing day-to-day social calendars, writing copy, coordinating with creative and influencer teams, and ensuring that every post, comment, and story is on-brand, on-trend, and on time.

The SMM supports the

Social Director

by owning tactical execution and channel management across clients. While the Director leads strategy and oversees creative direction, the SMM ensures flawless daily output — connecting the dots between creative assets, captions, performance insights, and client approvals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Translate approved social strategies (developed by the Social Director) into

monthly and weekly content calendars .

Populate posting schedules across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.

Coordinate with Account Directors and Project Managers to confirm deliverable timelines.

Collaborate with Creative and Influencer teams to ensure content aligns with campaign narratives and brand goals.

Maintain an organized view of all content in progress, posted, or under review.

Prepare posts for client review — ensuring copy, visuals, and CTAs align with brand tone and strategy.

Write clear, creative, and platform-native copy for social posts — adapting tone and language per brand voice.

Support the Social Director in developing captions that reflect cultural moments, humor, and brand nuance.

Ensure all posts adhere to legal, brand, and platform requirements.

Edit and adapt copy for different formats (e.g., TikTok captions vs. Instagram carousels).

Keep a pulse on trending audio, memes, and conversation styles to bring freshness to brand tone.

Trend Research & Platform Innovation

Continuously track social trends, memes, and platform updates — especially on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

Present weekly trend reports to the Social Director and Creative Director, with ideas for brand-relevant application.

Identify moments where brands can authentically join cultural conversations.

Suggest new content formats or series concepts inspired by emerging platform behavior.

Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure trend-led ideas are executed visually on-brand.

Work closely with the

Creative team

(designers, editors, producers) to brief content needs, provide references, and track deliverables.

Partner with the

Influencer Director

and team to integrate influencer-generated content into brand feeds.

Collaborate with the

Account Director

to manage client feedback and ensure timely revisions.

Coordinate with the

Head of Growth

for performance insights, ensuring creative adjustments align with data.

Communicate daily with the Social Director to flag wins, challenges, or creative needs.

Schedule and post approved content across client channels using native tools or scheduling platforms.

Write platform-specific tags, links, and metadata for uploads.

Monitor comments and DMs for engagement opportunities (with Social Director oversight).

Flag potential engagement or reputation risks immediately to the Social Director and Account Director.

Track content live performance (reach, engagement, saves, shares) and share observations.

Assist the Social Director and Growth team with monthly social performance reports.

Identify top-performing posts and emerging audience insights.

Support the Social Director in translating performance learnings into actionable creative recommendations.
