Our client, an established experiential marketing company is hiring for a Director, Experiential Marketing to join their team. The company is known for the innovative approach to experiential marketing across categories including beauty, food and beverage, sports and more. Our client is seeking a proven experiential marketer to lead the strategy, development, and execution of large-scale experiential campaigns that drive engagement and deliver measurable impact.
Reporting to senior leadership, this role oversees the full lifecycle of experiential programs—from concept development and budgeting to production, execution, and post-event analysis. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in production logistics, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality activations on time and within budget. This leader will also manage and mentor a high-performing experiential marketing team while ensuring alignment with broader brand and marketing strategies.
This position requires in-office presence at least three days per week.
Salary: $100-150k depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead innovative experiential marketing strategies that align with client and company objectives.
Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, including concept development, budgeting, vendor management, logistics, and on-site activation.
Translate client briefs into executable experiential plans that balance creativity, feasibility, and budget discipline.
Manage program budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within margin targets.
Negotiate and contract with production partners, fabricators, and staffing vendors to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
Implement consistent operational processes and risk management standards across all activations.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Creative, Operations, and Finance to align experiential programs with broader brand strategies.
Present strategic plans, execution timelines, and post-campaign results to internal stakeholders and clients.
Build and mentor a high-performing experiential marketing team, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
Continuously identify opportunities to optimize workflows, vendor relationships, and profitability across programs.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event production, or related project management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Proven success leading complex, high-impact experiential campaigns from concept through execution.
Strong creative vision paired with deep knowledge of production logistics, permitting, and event operations.
Demonstrated expertise managing large budgets, P&L accountability, and cost optimization.
Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills.
Proficiency with budgeting and project management tools (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet, Asana).
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and permitting processes for public events.
Comfortable overseeing on-site activations, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Experience in out-of-home media, live events, or large-scale experiential activations preferred.
