Audio Video Engineer/Programmer

Location: Huntsville, AL

Security Clearance Level:

  • Secret – mandatory
  • TS preferred
  • TS/SCI a plus

$10,000 sign on bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and oversee installations related to AV Control System programming and testing for Missile Defense Agency events.
  • Operate and maintain video conferencing equipment and provide event planning packages including test plans, engineering assessments, configuration drawings, and accreditation documentation.
  • Lead VTC Maintenance Crew in providing VTC and A/V operational support within Top Secret SCI/SAP facilities.
  • Maintain video conferencing hardware, software, and peripherals (e.g., TelePresence, CODEC, AV, Gateways, TMS, Monitors, Projectors, AMX Panels).
  • Utilize incident management tools (e.g., Remedy) for all related maintenance activities and assign tasks to crew members.
  • Ensure equipment compliance with Information Assurance guidance from manufacturers and government (e.g., CERT IAVM, DISA).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve collaboration and business application incidents.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance services following manufacturer schedules and SOPs.
  • Implement and execute configuration management plans, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain and procure manufacturer service and maintenance agreements for VTC collaboration systems and peripheral equipment.
  • Design, coordinate, and integrate future collaboration services and equipment, including procurement, testing, and acceptance.
  • Manage COMSEC materials and procedures to ensure secure video conferences, maintain electronic keying material accountability, and comply with access control procedures.
  • Stay current with advancing technologies and recommend technology refreshes to the government.
  • Prepare, review, coordinate, update, and submit DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) supporting documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College degree not required but preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Audio Visual industry.
  • Extensive experience with AV control system installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience programming both AMX (Netlinx Studio) and Extron (Visual Studio) control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking and configuration of Cisco network switches.
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager (a plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of installation, operation, scheduling, and support of desktop and conference room VTC systems in secure government or military environments.
  • Working knowledge of AV concepts such as acoustics, lighting, aspect ratios, font size vs. distance, scan rates, video standards, and transmission systems.
  • Understanding of TEMPEST standards and IA concerns for multi-classification multimedia systems.
  • Meticulous, organized working style with ability to work as part of a team.
  • Team leadership and excellent leadership qualities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; extensive team and customer contact.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office products required.
  • Understanding of electrical current (a plus).
  • Experience with Cisco systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of computer network configuration.
  • CompTIA Security+ (a plus).
  • CEDIA Certification (a plus).
  • CTS Certification (a plus).
  • CTS-D Certification (a plus).
  • CTS-I Certification (a plus).
