Responsibilities
- Edit and refine stories on M&A, IPOs, private equity, venture capital, and other major deals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and Bloomberg's signature speed to make sure our scoops get out first and beat the competition.
- Work closely with reporters and editors across teams and geographies to elevate our coverage.
- Ensure copy adheres to Bloomberg style and maintains the highest standards of precision under deadline pressure.
- Collaborate with colleagues to craft smart headlines and sharp leads that cut through the noise and draw in readers.
- Find or write lead items for Bloomberg's daily deals newsletter.
- Help guide reporters in honing their writing and story structure and handle sensitive sourcing for exclusives.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional editing, line‑editing, and headline‑writing skills with a proven ability to improve copy under tight deadlines.
- Strong news judgment and familiarity with the world of corporate finance and deals.
- A meticulous eye for detail, with an ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, or weak phrasing quickly.
- A passion for breaking news and delivering scoops that meet Bloomberg's high standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least five years of financial journalism or editing experience.
- Experience covering or editing dealmaking stories is a plus, but strong editors from other fast‑paced financial news environments will also be considered.
- A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work seamlessly with reporters and editors in multiple locations.

Salary Range = 80,000 - 95,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
