As a Senior Designer on the JLL Creative team, this role will assume a lead position in the design and development of branding and property marketing materials for our markets advisory business. This role is a master of creating logos, picking the perfect colorway, creating stories around space and place, and curating environmental graphic vibes. This person will also present their concepts with confidence in person and virtually to internal and external stakeholders.
The individual in this position will partner with and understand the business to deliver new and unique property marketing deliverables that not only meet business needs but also test the boundaries. They must understand the strategy, audience, and objectives behind more complex design projects, provide appropriate solutions with minimal art direction. The senior designer may partner virtually with teams located around the country; comfort with virtual working arrangements is required.
The position requires the individual to work with and manage a variety of team contributors including marketing managers/coordinators, stakeholders/clients, as well as providing art direction for other design teammates and nearshore/offshore resources. Real estate experience is not essential; however, experience working within a corporate environment will be very beneficial. This role reports to the Associate Creative Director or Art Director and is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in office.
Job Responsibilities
Collaboration: Ability to work within a large global creative team and collaborate/support the goals of the organization is core to the success of this role.
Brainstorming: Participates in and initiates sales team discussion to help visualize key messages and points of sale graphically.
Design: Designs customized deliverables per client’s needs with highly engaging design using animations, transitions, object states, and interactivity.
Presentations: Designs sophisticated presentations that incorporate animations, transitions, interactivity, and creative storytelling.
Client Service: Provides exceptional client service, meets own deadlines and works to proactively identify issues that impact time service commitments for the team.
Management Collaboration: Interacts with department management and senior leadership.
Innovation: Upholds and strives to innovate within brand standard guidelines and established operational procedures, as well as pushing boundaries of custom design solutions.
Project Ownership: Takes on full ownership and day-to-day project management of assigned work.
Other Duties: Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Art or Design/Visual Communications
A minimum of 6 years’ prior graphics experience, preferably in a sales/pursuit environment with corporate experience.
Proven leadership in design and project management, along with demonstrated working knowledge of the business.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, etc., and the Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.
Strong design and page layout skills are required, along with the ability to create graphic elements from scratch utilizing the best application that will support effective updates.
Exceptional communication skills to support professional exchanges in speed-to-market situations.
Dreamweaver, HTML/HTML5, Genial.ly, Canva and video editing/motion graphics experience are a definite plus.
Works effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and consistently demonstrates a high level of organizational skill and customer service.
Estimated compensation for this position
90,000.00 – 90,000.00 USD per year
