Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for 4-6 agency social media clients, manage relationships, expectations, and project timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with clients' marketing goals, brand voice, and target audience.
  • Schedule and publish content for brand accounts in a variety of formats, including light copywriting for content and captions.
  • Create content calendars, ensuring consistency, creativity, and alignment with brand identity across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including ad budget management, performance tracking, and optimization for ROI.
  • Engage with clients' online communities through timely message responses and comments.
  • Work with the Social Media Director to set campaign objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and content strategies.
  • Collaborate with Social Media Coordinators and Graphic Designers on projects for client accounts to ensure a cohesive approach to content planning, development, and execution.
  • Collaborate with designers and other creative professionals to produce visually appealing and engaging social media content, including images, videos, GIFs, and other multimedia formats.
  • Manage live content creation for events, promotions, and brand activations.
  • Consult with clients for additional content or assets.
  • Work with influencers and third‑party agencies as necessary.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Analyze social media metrics and provide actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Create comprehensive monthly reports highlighting campaign performance, audience engagement, and areas of opportunity.
  • Utilize social listening tools to track trends, sentiment, and brand reputation.
  • Review timesheets and project budgets monthly.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Director, Coordinators, and other departments to build reports.
  • Assign and delegate tasks to Social Media Coordinators, ensuring on‑time project completion and quality standards.
  • Provide feedback and support to Social Media Coordinators for a collaborative and creative team environment.
  • Contribute to recruitment and hiring processes for new Social Media Coordinators.

Industry & Trend Awareness:

  • Stay informed on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep clients ahead of the curve.
  • Explore new platforms and features to continuously innovate and improve client strategies.
  • Make data‑driven recommendations to enhance engagement, reach, and overall campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (1‑3 years) as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, paid advertising, and digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client accounts, creating social media strategies, and executing campaigns.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools and ad platforms.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools to track performance and optimize campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication, copywriting, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience guiding and mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for social media and marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Position based in the Mid‑City Baton Rouge office.
