Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174‑bed private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL that provides 24‑hour emergency services and a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults; partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect, while delivering high‑quality care.
Position Summary
The Music Therapist conducts the activities of music therapy in order to improve functioning and independence and to provide activity resources and opportunities for all patients with a focus on improving health and well‑being.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct an activity assessment on patients
- Conduct therapeutic activity groups
- Maintain the health and safety of patients
- Complete and document evaluations of progress and participate in the treatment team

Qualifications
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s in Music Therapy
- Two (2) years’ experience providing music therapy, preferably in a psychiatric setting with children, adolescents, and adults
- Certified Music Therapist credential required
- Working knowledge of music therapy programming & effective oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic boundaries, search and contraband, risk management, infection control, common psychiatric diagnoses, fire safety, and behavioral management
- Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1, Monday‑Friday 8 AM–5 PM
